Dickens is better if you don't really focus on the plot (they can be pretty awful). The language and sheer everything is what is good about them.

I, like the loser that I am, have only seen the movie of Benjamin Button. It was extremely long and Brad Pitt was quite creepy as an old man, but it was still very good, in my opinion. I hope to read the short story someday. ^^
I really need to read Hemmingway. I just haven't got a chance to get around to it yet...

You'll probably end up disappointed with the story, then. Speaking of Brad Pitt, have you seen Fight Club?

There are so many things that I would like to read, and I really do have time, but I always somehow end up sitting around re-reading everything that I've read before.

I have not. Is it good?
Same here. :shakefist: Things I want to read probably covers only a 1/3 of the things I wish I could do but don't have time for because I do other time-wasting things instead. XP

It's twisted and kind of disturbing, lots of black, dry humor--so I loved it. Thought-provoking. Like I said, though, it's kind of disturbing. So I have no idea whether you would like it or not. We've already seen how our tastes overlap...and then don't. :)

I like black humor...The only humor I really can't stand is the kind where people are a-holes because they think it's funny. And bigots.
